The idea behind this Gurukul Project in Samastipur, Bihar was to create a place that feels connected to our roots. Inspired by the traditional Gurukul and village lifestyle, this architectural design brings together old Indian architecture, Madhubani art and modern comfort. Ek regular modern building ki jagah, is project ko is tarah design kiya gaya ki logon ko purane gaon ke ghar jaisa feel mile, lekin saath hi aaj ke time ka comfort bhi ho. Gurukul building mein mud-wall jaisa look, Madhubani paintings aur mud-tile roofing use ki gayi, jisse Bihar ki traditional feel aaye. The layout brings together rooms, classroom, office, kitchen, godown, shed and garden areas, with clear walkways connecting each space. The large open green area creates a spacious environment, while the 6-ft-wide walkways make movement between different areas easy and organised. Overall, this project brings Bihar’s traditional identity into a thoughtfully planned space - where culture, comfort and practical architectural design come together.
